Every wedding is different, but the path to the altar tends to follow the same five stops. Typical lead time is 6–12 months, though elopements can move much faster.
Initial chat
A free 20-minute call to talk through your date, vision and what kind of support you actually need — celebrant only, full planning, or both.
Legal paperwork
Your Notice of Intended Marriage is lodged and identity documents verified, at least a month before your date, as required under the Marriage Act 1961.
Ceremony & planning
We write your script together over one or two sessions. If you've booked planning support, I start coordinating vendors, budget and your day-of timeline in parallel.
Rehearsal
For larger ceremonies, we walk the flow on-site so nobody's guessing where to stand, or when, on the day.
The big day
I deliver your ceremony, sign and lodge your marriage certificate, and stay close by for anything logistics throws at us.

The one-month rule
Your Notice of Intended Marriage must be lodged at least one calendar month before your ceremony — this is a legal minimum, not a suggestion.
Booking ahead
Popular dates, especially weekends in spring and autumn, are often booked 9–12 months out. Elopements have more flexibility.
